The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Devlin wants to clinch.
Powers lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Devlin circles away quickly and effectively.
Powers fails with a takedown attempt.
Powers throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Devlin.
Devlin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Devlin feints a jab promting Powers to slip. Devlin then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Powers slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Jimmy Powers has been cut.
Powers misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Devlin doesn't manage to clinch there - Powers circles away.
Devlin misses with a few strikes there.
Devlin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jonathan Devlin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Powers.
Powers darts in looking for a takedown but Devlin gets double underhooks and turns Powers into the cage.
