Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diego Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kezz The Convict (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying The Convict's choice of entrance music: Locked up. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diego Sanchez! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kezz The Convict! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez gets cracked there but stands up to it.
It looks like Diego Sanchez has been cut. Kezz The Convict seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sanchez showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from The Convict.
Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch up but The Convict swats him away and circles back towards the center. The Convict misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that The Convict has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Sanchez takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Sanchez takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The Convict fails to land the takedown. The Convict looks to land a left hand but Sanchez moved out of range nicely. Sanchez tries to clinch up and The Convict counters with a stiff right hand. A big right from The Convict misses. The Convict shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. The Convict showed some decent athleticism there. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The Convict is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sanchez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time The Convict. The Convict not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Convict wants to take a breather but Sanchez is having none of it. Sanchez is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Soul Supremacy Elite Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. The Convict lands with a punch from half guard. Sanchez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The Convict passes to side control. Sanchez defending against the ground and pound. You can see the frustration on Sanchez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The Convict lands a decent elbow from side control. Sanchez tries to escape but The Convict is in control. The Convict working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The Convict trying to control the action but Sanchez is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The Convict working the ground and pound from side control. Sanchez takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Sanchez is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The Convict has hold of Sanchez's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Sanchez seems comfortable defending it but The Convict has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Sanchez is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Sanchez is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but The Convict couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kezz The Convict! Kezz The Convict is the new welterweight champion! A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Kezz The Convict made sure he mentioned Project Mayhem, along with how happy he was to win his fight.
