Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Sims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Savs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Savs! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, John Kavanagh and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sims circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sims fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Savs, pushing him back against the cage. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Sims stalls. Sims unloads a knee to the mid-section. Savs lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Sims landing knees to the head.
Knees to the body from Sims.
Sims stalls. Savs wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Sims just leaning against Savs, taking a breather. Savs tries to pull guard but Sims won't allow it.

Sims lands an elbow inside that Savs shrugs off. Savs wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sims has him pressed against the cage. Sims scores with a knee to the head.
Sims's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Sims for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Savs is tying to control. Sims wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Savs is just content to waste time from the top position. Sims takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Savs wants to control from the top but Sims keeps moving. Savs wants to stand but Sims is controlling his posture from full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Sims uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Sims clinches up with Savs and pushes him back against the cage. Sims lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Sims walks into a left hand. Sims tries to close the distance and clinch up but Savs swats him away and circles back towards the center. Savs tries to clinch but Sims moves away and Sims moves into the clinch. Sims controlling the action here for a moment.
Savs has picked Sims up - he's going for a ride! Savs dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Savs wants to advance to full mount but Sims doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sims keeping full guard, as Savs tries to pass. Sims wants to get back to his feet but Savs is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Savs is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sims wriggles free and stands up. Sims tries to clinch up and Savs counters with a single leg into guard. Sims didn't expect that. Savs throwing strikes but missing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Savs trying to control but Sims is working from the bottom. Sims wants to get back to his feet but Savs is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Savs stands up over Sims, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sims keeping full guard, as Savs tries to pass. Savs trying to control but Sims is working from the bottom. Savs looking to sit in guard and control but Sims gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sims stops Savs from standing up. Sims stands and steps away. Savs gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Sims fails with an attempt to clinch.

Bob Savs showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Sims's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
