Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexei Erschov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Tommy Jones!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erschov blocks a head kick by Jones.
Jones has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Jones defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Erschov.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Erschov is defended easily by Jones.
Erschov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Erschov tries to keep at a distance but Jones has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jones stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Erschov could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Erschov is looking to control Jones's arms but Jones gets an underhook and turns him. Now Erschov has his back to the cage.
Erschov drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jones pulls his leg out and moves away.

Erschov is trapped in a tight thai clinch here. Jones pulls him left and then right before unleashing a vicious knee to the head. Oh damn - Erschov is out cold! That's some serious business! What a knockout!

Tommy Jones was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
