Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joel Conner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conner has chosen M.O.P. Ante Up as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Davidson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joel Conner! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A leg kick checked by Conner. Davidson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Davidson wants it to stay on the feet. Davidson gets the takedown into side control. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Davidson wants to control but Conner is keeping him busy. Conner gets back to half guard. Conner works his way to full guard. Good work. Conner seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conner lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Davidson! Conner is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Davidson has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Conner stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Conner tries to score a power double leg takedown but Davidson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Conner somewhat. Davidson fails with the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Conner looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Davidson tries to clinch but Conner is having none of it. Conner ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Conner thows a left - swing and a miss! Conner shoots in for a takedown but Davidson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Frank Davidson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joel Conner. No luck with that takedown attempt from Conner. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nice sprawl there from Davidson as Conner shoots in. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Davidson is defended easily by Conner. Davidson rushes Conner and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Davidson is pressed up against the cage. Conner has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Davidson down to the mat. Davidson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Davidson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Joel Conner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Davidson throws a solid leg kick but Conner takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Davidson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Conner shoots in but no luck this time. Davidson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Conner's calf. Conner misses with a takedown attempt - Davidson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Davidson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Conner looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Conner tries to get back to half guard but can't. Conner gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Davidson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Davidson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Conner does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davidson tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Conner. Conner is looking to escape. Conner gets full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Conner is adopting a defensive guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Davidson wants to stand but Conner is controlling his posture from full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Joel Conner will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Conner with a poor takedown and Davidson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Conner has a takedown stuffed. Davidson tries a head kick but it misses.
Davidson throws a wild body kick that Conner sees coming a mile off. Davidson fails to land with a series of punches.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Conner. Frank Davidson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joel Conner. Davidson misses with a series of wild punches.
Conner fails to land the takedown. Conner fails with the takedown. Davidson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Conner is looking to clinch. Conner avoids a punch combination nicely.
Conner tries to close the distance and clinch up but Davidson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Davidson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Conner. Conner clinches up with Davidson and pushes him back against the cage. Conner is looking to control Davidson's arms but Davidson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Conner has his back to the cage. Davidson tries to break the clinch but Conner is controlling the position. Davidson tries to pull guard but Conner forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Davidson gets underhooks to prevent Conner's takedown attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Davidson breaks from the clinch.
Conner shoots for a takedown but Davidson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. No luck for Davidson with that takedown attempt. Horrible takedown by Conner or perhaps it was just good defense by Davidson which made him look bad. Conner tries to clinch up. Davidson shoots in for a double leg but Conner sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Davidson stuffs the takedown. Frank Davidson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Davidson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Conner tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Conner fails with a takedown attempt. Conner fails with the takedown and Davidson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Davidson connects with a solid leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davidson works over Conner's head and body with a nice combination. Davidson tries for a takedown but Conner sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Conner tries to clinch but Davidson moves out of range. Conner swats away the attempt to clinch by Davidson. Conner darts in and clinches Davidson up against the cage. Conner jumps guard but Davidson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Conner tries to pull guard but Davidson forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Davidson can't find room to land a body shot as Conner controls the action.
Conner pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Conner misses with a takedown and Davidson counters with a series of strikes. Conner will be more careful next time no doubt. Conner showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Davidson.
Conner has managed to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Conner tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Davidson smiles and moves away.
Conner tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Davidson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Conner closes the distance and pushes Davidson back into the cage. Davidson lands a takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Conner has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Davidson should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Conner has tightened it up now! Davidson should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Joel Conner! A relieved looking Joel Conner thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
