Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rudolph McKenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McKenzie comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Real McKenzies - Loch Lomond kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rudolph McKenzie is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joe Murphy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rudolph McKenzie! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murphy looks to clinch and McKenzie counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Joe Murphy has been cut. Murphy moves to clinch but McKenzie breaks away and McKenzie counters with a straight right hand. Murphy closes the distance but McKenzie moves to the side enabling McKenzie to counter with a crisp jab. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Murphy tries to clinch but McKenzie moves away and McKenzie counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. McKenzie throws a jab when Murphy was well out of range. McKenzie circles away from the clinch attempt and McKenzie counters with a nice uppercut. McKenzie throws an overhand right that lands on Murphy's shoulder, as Murphy tries to avoid the shot. McKenzie misses with a looping left. McKenzie avoids the body shot from Murphy.
Murphy definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. McKenzie throws the left hand but Murphy avoids the punch easily. Murphy darts in trying to clinch and Murphy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Joe Murphy's cut is getting worse. Murphy moves to clinch but McKenzie breaks away and McKenzie counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. McKenzie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. McKenzie content to stall in guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Murphy preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. McKenzie seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. McKenzie postures up in Murphy's guard and throws a big left but Murphy blocks it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McKenzie postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. McKenzie postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Joe Murphy's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Murphy utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. McKenzie is looking to work some ground and pound but Murphy has wrist control. McKenzie throwing strikes from guard but Murphy blocks nicely. McKenzie sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McKenzie throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. McKenzie postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Jeez, Joe Murphy's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Joe Murphy's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Rudolph McKenzie! During a confident post fight interview, Rudolph McKenzie thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him. Joe Murphy spoke after the fight, saying 'Ha-ha-ha!!!'.
