And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lahey drives through and clinches with Kielland against the cage.
Kielland wants to break free but Lahey has control.
Lahey is pressed up against the cage. Kielland has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lahey down to the mat. Lahey avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Lahey moves into the clinch successfully.

Kielland wants to control from the top but Lahey keeps moving.

Lahey is looking for a triangle but Kielland pushes his legs off easily.

Lahey moves in looking to clinch but Kielland pushes him off.

Lahey shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kielland's guard.

Kielland has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Lahey is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Kielland.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Kielland manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lahey manages to get himself to full guard.

Lahey is staying active underneath Kielland, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Lahey is doing well to control the position and prevent Kielland from advancing to side control.

Lahey has one foot on Kielland's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Kielland throws a series of punches but Lahey moves out of range.

Kielland had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lahey is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kielland Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lahey's back instead.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lahey is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Randy Lahey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Even with his hooks in, Kielland manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Kielland doesn't have the hooks in and Lahey manages to turn into his guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lahey misses with a takedown attempt - Kielland sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kielland throws a right and a left that Lahey avoids nicely.
Kielland closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Lahey takes the fight into the clinch.

Lahey turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lahey manages to end up in side control.

Lahey goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Kielland rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Lahey's guard! Nice work there by Kielland!

Kielland has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Lahey to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Kielland is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Lahey pulls down on the head and he's put Kielland to sleep! This one is all over!
