Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jarvan Atherton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chuck White!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White shoots for a takedown but Atherton saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Atherton lands with a nice combination. White backs away looking to recover.

White gets a double leg takedown into Atherton's guard.
White throwing strikes but missing.
Atherton working a defensive guard here.

Atherton is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and White defends well.
White passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Atherton prevents White from improving position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Atherton can't do much from the bottom here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Atherton is working to avoid the ground and pound but White connects with a decent elbow.
White lands an elbow.
White has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Atherton is letting White control him for a moment.
Atherton is trying to improve his position.
Atherton dodges the ground and pound from White.
Atherton is looking for a sweep.
White in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
White misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Atherton wants to get back to his feet.
White landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Atherton takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

White throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
An elbow from White crashes against the mat.
White is putting a hurting on Atherton here, landing some big shots from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

White working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
White fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Atherton regains half guard there - taking advantage of White's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Atherton tries to roll over but White keeps him under control.

White maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Atherton could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but White has cracked it and Atherton is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by White!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Chuck White!
A very excited looking Chuck White made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
