Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Gracie is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Gracie! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gracie circles away quickly and effectively. Diaz stuffs the takedown. Diaz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Diaz fails to land with a series of punches.
Nice takedown defense from Diaz. No joy for Gracie on that attempt. Gracie has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Diaz misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gracie misses with a hook. Nick Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Diaz misses with a jab, cross combination.
Diaz throws a right and a left that Gracie avoids nicely. Gracie doesn't succeed with the takedown and Diaz counters with a one-two to the body. Nick Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Gracie. Diaz fails with an attempt to clinch.
Diaz moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Diaz tries to bum rush Gracie with a series of wild strikes but Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Gracie takes the fight into the clinch. Gracie is trying to pull guard but Diaz has him pressed against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz tries to pull guard but Gracie won't allow it.
Diaz pulls guard effortlessly. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Diaz avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Gracie working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Diaz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Diaz utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Gracie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Diaz is keeping the position for now. Diaz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Diaz is tightening it up a little... Gracie has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Gracie reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Gracie taps out! Nice BJJ there by Diaz!
