Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenshi Zuko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Stoned (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zuko's entrance music is Styx - Mr. Roboto. A fine choice. Stoned is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Dr. Dre - The Watcher. Kenshi Zuko is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Kenshi Zuko!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oliver Stoned!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stoned throws a low kick, looking for Zuko's leg but Zuko calmly moves out of range.
Zuko ducks right into an uppercut from Stoned.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Stoned has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Stoned uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Zuko.
Stoned misses with a wild body shot.
Stoned keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Zuko has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Zuko throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Stoned was covering up waiting for the punch and Zuko finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Zuko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stoned swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Stoned is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Zuko content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Zuko throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stoned works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Zuko is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stoned working for a triangle but Zuko defends it easily.

Zuko got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stoned has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Zuko has managed to get both his arms back between Stoned's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stoned is on top in guard.

Zuko working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stoned doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stoned manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Zuko looking for a sweep. Not yet Zuko, not yet.
Stoned wants to pass the guard but Zuko is keeping the position.
Stoned trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Stoned looking to sit in guard and control but Zuko gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zuko lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Zuko has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Stoned is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Stoned utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Stoned is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Zuko defends well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Zuko postures up and lands a big shot to Stoned's brow.

Zuko throws a big right hand that misses.
Zuko looking to pass the guard.
Zuko forces his way into half guard.
Stoned is looking to control Zuko's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Stoned avoid being mounted?

Zuko is trying to control the action in half guard but Stoned is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Zuko is thwarting Stoned's attempts to control the position.

Stoned has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Zuko can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Stoned is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Zuko lands a couple of elbows.
Zuko cracks Stoned with a solid left hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Zuko postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Stoned working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Zuko.
Zuko throws a strike but Stoned rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Stoned avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenshi Zuko dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Stoned throws a leg kick but Zuko moved away.
Stoned comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

and Zuko counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Stoned's guard now.

Kenshi Zuko overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Stoned is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Zuko slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Zuko works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stoned is trying to get back to half guard.
Zuko tries to advance position but instead Stoned slips a leg back in to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenshi Zuko dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Stoned tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Zuko prevents Stoned from getting the reversal.

It looks like Oliver Stoned has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Zuko landing punches.


That has opened up Oliver Stoned's cut even more.
Stoned is in a horrible position here. Zuko smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Stoned is rocked!
Zuko softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Stoned is out cold! Zuko jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kenshi Zuko!

Kenshi Zuko decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
