Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jared Cowen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaito Saruwatari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saruwatari has chosen Guerilla Radio as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jared Cowen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kaito Saruwatari!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cowen feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Saruwataris jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Cowen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Saruwatari checks a leg kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Cowen.
Cowen fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Saruwatari has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cowen, as that shot connected.


It looks like Kaito Saruwatari has been cut.

A jab-cross combination lands for Cowen and sends Saruwatari crashing to the mat! Cowen follows him down to the mat - Saruwatari regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Cowen is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Saruwatari has managed to free his arm - good work.
Saruwatari is still in real trouble! Can Cowen finish him?
Cowen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Cowen is taking a breather. Saruwatari says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Cowen is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Saruwatari sees it coming and defends easily.
Saruwatari seems to have recovered his senses.

Cowen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Saruwatari is trying to stand up here but Cowen is controlling him well.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Saruwatari has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Saruwatari and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Kaito Saruwatari's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Jared Cowen decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
