Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raivis Vidzis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Konstantins Gluhovs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Konstantins Gluhovs has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Raivis Vidzis's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Raivis Vidzis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Konstantins Gluhovs! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive. Left hook, right uppercut from Gluhovs. Vidzis shoots in for a double leg but Gluhovs sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vidzis shoots in but no luck this time. Vidzis tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Gluhovs defends well and Vidzis ends up having to push Gluhovs into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raivis Vidzis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gluhovs wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Vidzis turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Gluhovs throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. Gluhovs tries to buck Vidzis off but Vidzis is having none of it. Gluhovs struggling a bit here. Gluhovs is looking for a sweep. Gluhovs can't do much from the bottom here. Gluhovs tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Vidzis wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Konstantins Gluhovs will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Vidzis tries for a takedown but Gluhovs circles away easily and Gluhovs counters with a nice double leg into guard. Vidzis scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Vidzis misses with a takedown and Gluhovs holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raivis Vidzis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gluhovs has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Vidzis is working for takedown but Gluhovs is calmly controlling the position for now. Gluhovs's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Vidzis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vidzis fails with a takedown attempt. Gluhovs looks to land a combination. Vidzis sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vidzis with a poor takedown and Gluhovs counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Gluhovs stops Vidzis from standing up. Vidzis has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Gluhovs is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Vidzis goes for a takedown attempt but Gluhovs pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vidzis goes for a double leg but Gluhovs avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Gluhovs continues to drive forward. Gluhovs is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Konstantins Gluhovs showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Vidzis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gluhovs as he jumps to the side.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Vidzis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gluhovs swivels and escapes. Gluhovs throws a combination that misses and Vidzis counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Gluhovs wants to sweep but Vidzis has passed to side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gluhovs tries to bench press Vidzis off him but Vidzis keeps the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gluhovs wants to control but Vidzis postures up. Raivis Vidzis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Vidzis stands up. Vidzis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Raivis Vidzis. Well Gluhovs has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
