The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.

Vidzis shoots in for a double leg but Gluhovs sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vidzis shoots in but no luck this time.
Vidzis tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Gluhovs defends well and Vidzis ends up having to push Gluhovs into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Raivis Vidzis.
Well Gluhovs has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
