Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mitchel Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Paul Cabriolet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cabriolet comes into a darkened arena with his song building. M83 - Midnight City kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jean Paul Cabriolet enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mitchel Franklin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Paul Cabriolet! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cabriolet has Franklin up against the cage in a clinch.
Franklin is trying to pull guard but Cabriolet has him pressed against the cage. Franklin jumps guard but Cabriolet stands there with Franklin around his waist. Franklin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Franklin fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mitchel Franklin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Franklin controlling the action here for a moment.
Cabriolet decides to pull guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cabriolet being controlled here, momentarily.
We're going to have a standup here because Mitchel Franklin wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Cabriolet throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Franklin. Cabriolet shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Franklin's guard. Cabriolet really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Franklin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cabriolet with a flurry of punches that miss. Franklin wants to sweep but no luck. Cabriolet cracks Franklin with a solid left hand. Franklin is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Cabriolet got a little sloppy there for a moment and Franklin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cabriolet has managed to get both his arms back between Franklin's legs - danger averted. Franklin is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Cabriolet presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Franklin is looking to control Cabriolet's arms but Cabriolet gets an underhook and turns him. Now Franklin has his back to the cage. Franklin tries to pull guard but Cabriolet holds him up against the cage and eventually Franklin drops back down to his feet.
Cabriolet pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A low kick from Cabriolet misses and Franklin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Cabriolet cracks Franklin's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Franklin slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Cabriolet can do further damage! This one is done, son!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jean Paul Cabriolet! A relieved looking Jean Paul Cabriolet thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
