Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Lansing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Dunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lansing kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Heavy Metal Kings. Dunn comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Diary of a Madman kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Hilo, Alexander Lansing! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Dunn! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big right from Dunn misses. Dunn fails with a takedown attempt. Dunn looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Dunn throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Lansing counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Dunn tries for a takedown but Lansing manages to get underhooks.

We've been hearing reports that Lansing has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Lansing tries to throw a body punch but Dunn avoids it by throwing Lansing back against the cage. Lansing takes a knee to the side of the body. Dunn misses with the head strike.

Lansing makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Lansing tries to work over Dunn's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Lansing misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Dunn creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dunn throws a punch but it's blocked by Lansing. Lansing is defending well against a takedown attempt. Lansing lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Dunn has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Lansing is defending well against a takedown attempt. Lansing lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Dunn backwards. Lansing blocking some punches.

Dunn has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lansing is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Dunn pushes off an throws an elbow but Lansing leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Dunn using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Lansing has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Lansing drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dunn gets the underhooks and prevents it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Lansing lands a nice shot to the body. Lansing lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. A short body shot lands from Dunn as the two fighters clinch.
Lansing turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lansing manages to end up in side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dunn is not content to let Lansing control the position. Lansing works to advance to full mount. Dunn defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Dunn wants to control but Lansing is having none of it. Dunn really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lansing lands a couple of good shots and Dunn has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Dunn looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Lansing is riding his opponent, not letting Dunn buck him off. Lansing has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. I would not like to be Dunn right now.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lansing looking to break Dunn's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Dunn remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Lansing will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Dunn covering up well under a barage of strikes. Lansing will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dunn looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Dunn rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Dunn holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Dunn wants to control but Lansing is keeping busy and won't allow it. Dunn might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lansing haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Lansing thows a huge punch but Dunn dodges it nicely.

Dunn moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Dunn looking for a sweep. Not yet Dunn, not yet. Lansing seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Alexander Lansing will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Dunn thows a leg kick but Lansing checks it and Lansing counters with a nice leg kick. Dunn throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Lansing throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dunn on the side of the head. Lansing connects with a right hand. Dunn shakes it off. Lansing throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Mark Dunn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lansing just misses with a punch to the body.
The crowd cheers as Lansing lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dunn doesn't seem phased though. Dunn clinches up with Lansing and pushes him back against the cage. Dunn has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. So far he's outscoring his opponent in the clinch so it seems to have been worthwhile. Lansing managing to block the knees to the body from Dunn.

Dunn is trying to drag Lansing to the mat but Lansing just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Dunn lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Lansing looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Dunn trying to control the action but Lansing is working from the bottom. Dunn is thwarting Lansing's attempts to control the position. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Dunn lands a nice short elbow. Lansing trying to hold on to Dunn's head to control him but Dunn postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dunn throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Lansing to regain full guard. Dunn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lansing swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lansing trying to control the position.
Lansing utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Dunn is stalling in the full guard. Dunn stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Lansing has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Dunn manages to get his head free but now Lansing has transitioned to an armbar! Dunn grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Lansing! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
