Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Kyle Rad! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Ovaltrades! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ovaltrades checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Rad connects with an inside leg kick. Rad throws a nice inside leg kick. Rad throws a nice head kick!
Rad misses with a head kick.
Jack Ovaltrades seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rad showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ovaltrades.
A jab from Ovaltrades misses. Rad throws a leg kick but Ovaltrades sees it coming and checks it nicely. Rad throws out a leg kick but Ovaltrades moves out of range and Rad only half commits. Ovaltrades shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ovaltrades showed some decent athleticism there. My spies in EvolutioN MMA Acadamy & Gym ( 12 ELITE Coaches ) inform me that Ovaltrades has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Rad has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ovaltrades is working away from the top position though. Rad wants to improve his position but Ovaltrades is controlling well.
Rad is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Pacific MMA, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rad is working hard here to advance position. Ovaltrades is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rad has managed to free his arm - good work. Ovaltrades is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Ovaltrades wants to pass to mount but Rad is defending the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ovaltrades is just content to waste time from the top position. Rad takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Ovaltrades is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Ovaltrades stops Rad from standing up. Ovaltrades postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rad is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ovaltrades, into his guard. Ovaltrades throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rad forces his way into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Ovaltrades manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Ovaltrades keeping moving, preventing Rad from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ovaltrades can't keep his opponent in guard - Rad advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Rad wants to stand up but Ovaltrades has a hold of him and won't allow it. Rad controlling the action here. Ovaltrades is refusing to be controlled, as Rad sits in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kyle Rad dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Ovaltrades throws a leg kick enabling Rad to counter with a crisp jab. Ovaltrades tries for a takedown but Rad sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ovaltrades throws a poor cross that misses
and Rad counters with a low kick, right behind Ovaltrades 's knee. Ovaltrades closes the distance but Rad moves to the side and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Ovaltrades misses with a looping left. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ovaltrades is defended easily by Rad. Rad tries to work over Ovaltrades's front leg with a kick but Ovaltrades checks it. Rad connects with an inside leg kick. Ovaltrades misses with the combination.
Rad lands a big head kick that sends Ovaltrades tumbling to the mat! Rad takes a step backwards and waves Ovaltrades back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Ovaltrades is rocked!
It looks like Jack Ovaltrades has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ovaltrades avoids the head kick by Rad.
Ovaltrades is still on wobbly legs! Can Rad finish him? Jack Ovaltrades is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rad lands a big uppercut and Ovaltrades crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Ovaltrades looks OK. Rad waves Ovaltrades back to his feet!
That's one minute gone in the round. Rad scores with a slapping inside leg kick. An inside leg kick lands from Rad. Ovaltrades takes a shot to the body in his stride.
An inside leg kick lands from Rad. Kyle Rad is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ovaltrades throws a right hand that Rad ducks under and follows up with a left that Rad also avoids with ease. Rad moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Rad lands a lovely overhand right. Ovaltrades's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Ovaltrades walks forward, straight into a front kick from Rad. Rad fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ovaltrades has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Donk. Rad catches Ovaltrades right on the button with a cross. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rad is looking to score with low kicks. Ovaltrades on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. A chopping leg kick lands by Rad. Rad swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Ovaltrades seems to have recovered his senses. Ovaltrades tries to clinch up but Rad circles away and keeps his distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ovaltrades throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. A solid leg kick lands there for Rad.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Rad, right into the meat.
Rad bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. That kick from Rad tenderised Ovaltrades's leg. Ovaltrades is trying to keep his angry face on. Rad feints and then cracks Ovaltrades's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ovaltrades down. Ovaltrades is looking to clinch but Rad is avoiding it.
Ovaltrades misses with a looping right. Ovaltrades throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Rad throws a nice outside leg kick. Rad catches Ovaltrades with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Ovaltrades checks a low kick from Rad. Ovaltrades misses with an uppercut. Rad fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Ovaltrades checks it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rad feints and then cracks Ovaltrades's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ovaltrades down. Rad takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Rad jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Ovaltrades on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rad. Rad obviously looking to wear him down.
Rad lands with a cross. Ovaltrades blocks the body kick.
Ovaltrades takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Ovaltrades misses with a wild body shot. Rad throws a low kick, looking for Ovaltrades's leg but Ovaltrades calmly moves out of range. Ovaltrades shoots in looking for a takedown. Rad tries to sprawl out of it but Ovaltrades keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rad manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kyle Rad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Ovaltrades. Rad moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A jab from Rad finds it's way through Ovaltrades's defenses.

and Rad counters with a nice body kick.
Ovaltrades misses with a double jab
and Rad counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ovaltrades is breathing heavily. An inside leg kick lands from Rad. Ovaltrades throws a right and a left that both miss. A slow jab from Ovaltrades misses its intended target. Rad throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Rad connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ovaltrades momentarily.
Rad avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Rad scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Rad drops Ovaltrades with a straight right hand, right on the button! Rad follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kyle Rad! Kyle Rad retains his bantamweight title! Our winner, Kyle Rad, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
