Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, John Beck! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Masters! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Masters feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Beck seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Masters throws a big elbow that misses. Masters drops back looking for a leg! Beck is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Beck manages to kick Masters off! Masters jumps back into Beck's guard. Beck keeping full guard, as Masters tries to pass. Masters stands and throws Beck's legs to the side, diving into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Masters has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Beck is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Masters yanks on the arm and Beck is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Masters.
