The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oracion closes this distance looking for a takedown but Watanabei circles away.
Oracion fails with a takedown attempt.
Watanabei blocks a head kick by Oracion.
Oracion has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Demian Oracion. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Oracion shoots in for a takedown but Watanabei shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Watanabei stuffs the takedown attempt from Oracion. Oracion gets slowly back to his feet.

Oracion wants to control from the top but Watanabei keeps moving.

Watanabei really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Oracion. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Oracion slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Oracion is working to tighten his grip on Watanabei's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Watanabei has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Oracion is really squeezing tight and eventually Watanabei passes out! Oracion breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Demian Oracion!
Demian Oracion really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Rising Stars Apparel (10% laundry) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
