Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Rocket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordon Gummidge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Gordon Gummidge!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gummidge gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Rocket lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Nice body punch from Rocket - that landed with a thud.
Gummidge's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Rocket gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Gummidge.

Gummidge manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Gummidge tries a body shot but Rocket blocks it.

Rocket pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gummidge with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Rocket to score with a decent uppercut.
Rocket lands a really nice looking cross but Gummidge seems unphased.
Rocket cracks Gummidge with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
It looks like Gordon Gummidge has been cut.
Gummidge throws a quick inside leg kick.
Rocket tries to work over Gummidge's front leg with a kick but Gummidge checks it.
Rocket is looking to score with low kicks.
Gummidge swings away with a body shot that misses
and Rocket counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Gummidge closes the distance and clinches.
Rocket tries to stall but Gummidge uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rocket's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A punch lands to the side of Gummidge 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Gummidge walks into a stiff left hand from Rocket.

Gummidge throws a leg kick but Rocket sees it coming and moves out of range.
Rocket throws a front kick aimed at Gummidge's knee but Gummidge avoids it well.
Rocket misses the shot to the body.
Rocket lands with a thumping leg kick.
Gummidge swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A lazy left from Rocket finds it's target.
Rocket ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gummidge moves away.
Rocket misses with an uppercut.
Jab, jab by Rocket - just one landing.
Rocket thows a body shot but no joy.
Rocket looks to land a right hand but Gummidge moved out of range.
Rocket misses with a looping right.
Johnny Rocket is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Gummidge moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Gummidge tries to advance to mount but Rocket denies him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rocket is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Gummidge wants to control from the top but Rocket keeps moving.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Gordon Gummidge.
Gummidge changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Johnny Rocket will probably get the nod.

That's time! Rocket's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Gummidge jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Rocket just misses with a punch to the body.
Gummidge closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rocket quickly recovers to half guard.
Gummidge perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rocket wants to stand back up but Gummidge manages to pass into side control.
Gummidge trying to control the position but Rocket is working away.

Gummidge has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Gummidge wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rocket keeps working.

Gummidge wants to take a breather but Rocket manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Gummidge.

Gummidge stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rocket swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gummidge tries to free his leg and advance position but Rocket is retaining full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Gummidge works Rocket's body with a nice hook.
Gummidge throws a leg kick but Rocket moved away.
Gummidge dives in and grabs Rocket's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rocket pushes down on Gummidge's head and hops out.
Rocket lands an overhand right.

Gummidge throws a lazy right hand but Rocket sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Gummidge does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Gummidge scores with a sloppy right hand. Rocket should have avoided that one.
Gummidge lands a head kick. Rocket smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Rocket tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gummidge was well out of range. Poor timing from Rocket.
Gummidge darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Gummidge ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rocket moves away.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rocket, as that shot connected.
Gummidge throws a hook but Rocket blocks it.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gummidge lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rocket has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rocket and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Rocket throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gummidge has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gummidge has Rocket pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rocket manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
A shot in the inside from Rocket.
Rocket is pressed up against the cage. Gummidge has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rocket down to the mat. Rocket avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Johnny Rocket has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gordon Gummidge.
Gummidge throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rocket lands a jab to the nose.

Gordon Gummidge showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Rocket's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
