Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Steve Longhold!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Longhold fails with a takedown attempt.
Jo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jo thuds a left hand into Longhold's body.
Jo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Longhold swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Longhold gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.


It looks like Steve Longhold has been cut.
Jo shoots in for a double leg but Longhold sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jo tries to clinch there but Longhold circles away.
Jo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Longhold moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Longhold leaves Jo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Longhold wants to take a breather but Jo is having none of it.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Longhold accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Steve Longhold hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Longhold throws a right hand that Jo ducks under and follows up with a left that Jo also avoids with ease.
