Pereira shoots in and bounces Chiara off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chiara can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pereira controls the pace.
Chiara is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Pereira gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Pereira closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Chiara's guard.
Chiara had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pereira defends it easily.
Chiara is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pereira defends well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Chiara can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pereira controls the pace.
Pereira has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Chiara to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Pereira is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Chiara pulls down on the head and he's put Pereira to sleep! This one is all over!
