Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Swanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boba Solid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swanson comes into the arena with Fight the power blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Andrew Swanson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Boba Solid! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Solid will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Solid throws a head kick that misses. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Solid gets caught napping as Swanson dives in and scores a takedown. Solid manages to retain guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Swanson is in close to Solid's body, working some short punches and elbows. Swanson scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Solid trying to keep a closed guard but Swanson is proving a slippery customer.
Swanson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Solid swivels though and keeps the full guard. Swanson stands up over Solid, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Swanson landing some decent shots from guard. Swanson scoring with punches to the head and body. Swanson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Swanson stops Solid from standing up. Swanson looking to pass the guard. Swanson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Solid works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Swanson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Swanson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swanson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Swanson prevents Solid from getting back to his feet. Swanson lands a couple of decent looking shots. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Swanson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Solid looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Swanson works over Solid with some ground and pound from guard. Solid avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Swanson slips nicely into half guard. Swanson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Solid tries to kick Swanson off but Swanson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Swanson is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Solid is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
