The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Perez misses. Perez misses with a double jab.
Perez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Perez tries to bum rush Kuznetsov with a series of wild strikes but Kuznetsov uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Danny Perez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kuznetsov darts in and clinches Perez up against the cage. Kuznetsov has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Perez after a bit of a struggle. Kuznetsov lands a left hand.
Kuznetsov is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Perez gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. A nice left hand lands by Kuznetsov.
It looks like Danny Perez has been cut. Perez tries to score a body lock takedown but Kuznetsov shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Kuznetsov goes for a takedown in the clinch but Perez prevents it.

Kuznetsov rushes Perez and presses him up against the cage. Kuznetsov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kuznetsov circles away quickly and effectively. Perez throws a right and a left that both miss. Perez throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kuznetsov counters by clinching up. Kuznetsov pulls guard effortlessly. Perez has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kuznetsov is proving hard to escape from. Perez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kuznetsov's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Perez is keen to just control but Kuznetsov is a slippery customer. Kuznetsov blocking the ground and pound attempt from Perez. It looks like Perez is going to stand back up.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Perez thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kuznetsov's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Perez wants to stand up but Kuznetsov is controlling the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Perez throws a combination that misses and Kuznetsov counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kuznetsov. Kuznetsov lands an elbow inside that Perez shrugs off. Kuznetsov pulls guard successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuznetsov wants to stand up but Perez is controlling him. Perez passes easily into side control. Nice work. Kuznetsov is trying to get back to his feet. Perez has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Danny Perez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A combination from Perez does no damage. Perez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Perez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Perez lands with a nice combination. Kuznetsov backs away looking to recover. Perez throws a leg kick but Kuznetsov sees it coming and checks it nicely. Perez throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Perez throws a head kick but Kuznetsov moves out of range.
Perez misses with a looping right. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Danny Perez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Danny Perez's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Perez looks to land a combination. Kuznetsov sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Perez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Perez tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kuznetsov just stands there and leans against the cage. Perez takes a shot to the head. Perez wants to break free but Kuznetsov has control.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Kuznetsov. Kuznetsov forces Perez back against the cage and clinches.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Danny Perez. I've got Perez winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
