Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Slavonik Powarenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Wangu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wangu has chosen Lux Aeterna (go to 3:21) as his entrance music. Sam Wangu told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sam Wangu!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wangu clinches with his opponent.
Wangu ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wangu no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Powarenko advances position into side control!
Wangu tries to buck Powarenko off but Powarenko is having none of it.
Powarenko working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Powarenko looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Wangu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Powarenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Powarenko tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Powarenko has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Powarenko wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wangu, who protects the arm well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wangu is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Powarenko is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Wangu has escaped the position, nice work there.
Wangu is trying to control Powarenko's posture but Powarenko avoids it.

Powarenko has hold of Wangu's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Wangu seems comfortable defending it but Powarenko has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Wangu is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Wangu is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Powarenko couldn't care less - he's delighted!
