Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Braylon Beswicke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beswicke comes to the cage accompanied by Kick in the teeth. Lee comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Dragonfly by Shaman's Harvest kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 19 - 2, fighting out of London, Braylon Beswicke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 19 - 4, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bruce Lee!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee lands a jab to the nose.


It looks like Braylon Beswicke has been cut.
Beswicke throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Lee throws a nice looking combination but Beswicke bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lee moves out of range as Beswicke strikes.
Beswicke has been working on his boxing with his coaches at High Voltage Gym in the buildup to the fight.

Lee closes the distance and clinches.
Beswicke lands a hook that snaps the head of Lee backwards.
Beswicke misses with a hook to the ribs.
Beswicke misses with the head strike.
Lee digs a right hand into Beswicke's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Beswicke's gas tank.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lee tries to throw a body punch but Beswicke avoids it by throwing Lee back against the cage.
Lee lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Beswicke backwards.

Lee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Beswicke swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lee must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Lee wants to slow Beswicke down by chopping away at his legs.
Lee moves out of range as Beswicke throws a body kick.

Lee closes the distance and pushes Beswicke back into the cage.

Lee tries to work over Beswicke's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Lee lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Beswicke backwards.

Lee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lee takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Lee throws a low kick but it's checked well by Beswicke.

Lee uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Beswicke.

Lee swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lee swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lee cracks Beswicke with a right hand to the side of the head.
Beswicke tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lee looks to throw the jab but Beswicke is out of range.
Lee tries to clinch up but Beswicke circles away and keeps his distance.

That kick from Lee tenderised Beswicke's leg. Beswicke is trying to keep his angry face on.

Beswicke throws a lazy right hand but Lee sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Beswicke drops his hands momentarily and Lee takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Beswicke tries to land a front kick but Lee steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Lee and Beswicke goes tumbling to the canvas! Lee follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lee tries to stand but can't do so whilst Beswicke controls his leg.

Lee is working for a kimura but Beswicke is defending it quite comfortably.

Lee drops back looking for a leg! Beswicke is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Beswicke manages to kick Lee off! Lee jumps back into Beswicke's guard.

Beswicke connects with a nice looking jab.
Beswicke lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Beswicke lands with an overhand left.
Lee throws a series of punches but Beswicke moves out of range.
Beswicke swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Beswicke connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Beswicke is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Lee swings wildly with an uppercut but Beswicke uses good head movement to avoid it.

Bruce Lee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Lee throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Lee has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Beswicke.

Beswicke walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Lee checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Beswicke throws a jab when Lee was well out of range.
Beswicke throws a shot to the body.
Lee's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Lee looks to clinch
and Beswicke counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Beswicke takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Braylon Beswicke.
Well Lee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
