Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Pablo Joaquin!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a wild body kick that Joaquin sees coming a mile off.
Joaquin connects with a high kick.
Silva swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Joaquin lands a nice shot to the body.
Silva looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Silva advances position into side control!
Silva happy to just control the position for now.
Joaquin tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Silva is trying to get an arm triangle but Joaquin is defending well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
You can see the frustration on Joaquin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Silva has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Joaquin!

Silva wants to control the pace but Joaquin is squirming around nicely.
Joaquin tries to improve his position but Silva has taken his back! Silva has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Joaquin tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Silva pushes Joaquin away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Marcelo Silva!
Marcelo Silva bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
