Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mark Jerks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bradley Delbert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Delbert has chosen Placebo-Where is my Mind as his entrance music. Bradley Delbert will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Jerks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bradley Delbert!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jerks.
Jerks fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jerks fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Jerks gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Delbert counters by clinching up.

Delbert pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Delbert leaves Jerks with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Delbert fails to land with a series of punches.

Jerks closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Jerks works his foot free and advances to mount.
Jerks can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Delbert is looking to escape.

Delbert is looking to get to half guard.

Jerks looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Jerks looking to secure an arm triangle but Delbert defends it well.
Jerks thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Jerks working for a guillotine from mount but Delbert is in no mood to give up.
Jerks looking to ground and pound but Delbert is blocking nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jerks misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Delbert slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Jerks is working for a submission of some sort.
Jerks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Delbert is not content to let Jerks control the position.
Jerks looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Jerks is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Jerks seems to be working for a kimura but Delbert defends the submission attempt.
Jerks is stalling here. Delbert is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Jerks seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Delbert has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Delbert wants to stand but Jerks is controlling his arm.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Jerks's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Jerks throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jerks is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Delbert.
Jerks shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Delbert tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jerks fails with the takedown.
Mark Jerks is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jerks shoots in looking for a takedown but Delbert manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jerks's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Delbert looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jerks shoots in for a takedown but Delbert shows good takedown defense.

Delbert gets caught flat footed, as Jerks shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Jerks wants to control from the top but Delbert keeps moving.

Jerks slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Jerks looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Jerks working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jerks is trying to get an arm triangle but Delbert is defending well.
Jerks wants to lay and pray for a moment but Delbert keeps working.

Jerks has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Delbert is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Jerks yanks on the arm and Delbert is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Jerks.
