The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Darius Henderson and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Canedo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
deFunes connects with a nice looking jab.
It looks like Eugene Canedo has been cut.
Canedo misses with an uppercut
and deFunes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Canedo keeps the fight on the outside.

Canedo throws a right hand that deFunes ducks under and follows up with a left that deFunes also avoids with ease.

deFunes stops a takedown attempt from Canedo.
deFunes lands a hook to the side of the head.
deFunes lands an uppercut.
deFunes presses Canedo against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
deFunes manages to break the clinch.
Eugene Canedo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Canedo throws a hook but deFunes blocks it.
Crunch! deFunes slams his shin into Canedo's torso.
deFunes moves out of range as Canedo strikes.
Canedo misses with a lunging right hand
and Canedo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Canedo shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
That has opened up Eugene Canedo's cut even more.
Canedo looks to throw the jab but deFunes is out of range.
deFunes scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Canedo misses with an uppercut.
Canedo takes one to the chin there.
Canedo chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before deFunes can pounce on him.
Canedo looks winded!
Nice body punch from deFunes.
Canedo walks into a stiff left hand from deFunes.
The cut above Eugene Canedo's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
deFunes lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
deFunes lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

deFunes flashes Canedo a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Canedo's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Canedo crumples to the floor! He's out cold! deFunes punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

In his post fight interview, Luis deFunes started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
