Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roy Mustang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duncan Macgregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mustang's entrance music is Little Rock. A fine choice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Duncan Macgregor!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mustang tries to bum rush Macgregor with a series of wild strikes but Macgregor uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Macgregor tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mustang sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Macgregor somewhat.
Mustang keeps the fight on the outside.
Mustang fails to land with a series of punches.
Macgregor fails with the takedown.
Macgregor takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Macgregor is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Mustang gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
We've been hearing reports that Mustang has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Macgregor has gone for a leg lock! Mustang slips out almost immediately though and dives into Macgregor's guard.

Macgregor felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Macgregor tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mustang just stands there and leans against the cage.

Roy Mustang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Duncan Macgregor.
Macgregor is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Mustang pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Macgregor jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mustang walks away with a smile on his face. Macgregor gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
