Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Lock Jaws (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seth Petruzinni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sam Lock Jaws! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Seth Petruzinni! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lock Jaws closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Lock Jaws wants to free his trapped foot but Petruzinni is holding on for dear life with his legs. Petruzinni gets full guard. Lock Jaws won't allow Petruzinni to sweep him here. Petruzinni keeping full guard, as Lock Jaws tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Petruzinni looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Lock Jaws is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Petruzinni had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lock Jaws is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Petruzinni Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lock Jaws's back instead. Petruzinni is trying to stick to Lock Jaws's back but Lock Jaws is turning into Petruzinni. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Petruzinni's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Lock Jaws. Petruzinni working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lock Jaws doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lock Jaws manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Lock Jaws stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Petruzinni swivels though and keeps the full guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Petruzinni can do anything to dispel that myth. Petruzinni looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lock Jaws is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lock Jaws stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Petruzinni swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lock Jaws passes easily into side control. Nice work. Petruzinni is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Lock Jaws wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Petruzinni, who protects the arm well. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Petruzinni is looking for a sweep. Lock Jaws tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lock Jaws has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Petruzinni sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Petruzinni is staying active underneath Lock Jaws, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lock Jaws seems to be working for a kimura but Petruzinni defends the submission attempt. Lock Jaws is breathing heavily. Lock Jaws frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Petruzinni is working to get back to half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Lock Jaws wants to finish this one by submission but Petruzinni is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Lock Jaws. Petruzinni slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Lock Jaws wants to control but Petruzinni is keeping him busy. Lock Jaws prevents Petruzinni from improving his position. Lock Jaws is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lock Jaws is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Petruzinni can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Petruzinni tries to get back to half guard but can't. Lock Jaws trying to control but he's not successful this time. Petruzinni is trying desperately to improve position. Petruzinni is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Lock Jaws trying to control but Petruzinni is having none of it. Petruzinni has given up his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Petruzinni is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Lock Jaws doesn't have the hooks in and Petruzinni manages to turn into his guard.
Lock Jaws looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Petruzinni is pushing down on Lock Jaws's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lock Jaws is fighting to maintain full guard but Petruzinni has managed to sneak the leg through. Lock Jaws is looking to improve his position.
Petruzinni trying to pass the guard but Lock Jaws defending well. Petruzinni is looking for a kimura but Lock Jaws is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Petruzinni to get the leverage. Petruzinni is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Lock Jaws is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Petruzinni's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Petruzinni's back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Lock Jaws dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lock Jaws. Lock Jaws fails in his attempt to clinch. Lock Jaws looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Petruzinni is fending him off so far but Lock Jaws persists. Nope, Petruzinni circles away and we're back to standing. Lock Jaws has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sam Lock Jaws. That's going to take a lot out of him. Petruzinni shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Petruzinni frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Lock Jaws defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Petruzinni. Lock Jaws is looking to get to half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Petruzinni is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Petruzinni extends the arm and Lock Jaws is forced to tap!
