Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jonathan Segal!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Fuzzy Khan!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Segal scores with a jab.
Segal circles away from the clinch attempt.
Khan moves to clinch but Segal breaks away
and Segal counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Segal dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Khan throws a right and a left that Segal avoids nicely.
Segal keeps Khan at a distance using the push kick.
Segal slips a jab and a cross from Khan.
Khan walks straight into a right hand from Segal - that's dropped him! Segal jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Khan from any more punishment! Khan complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jonathan Segal!
