Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hubert Goodwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Jaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tony Jaa was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hubert Goodwin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Jaa! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jaa misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Jaa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Goodwin is fending him off so far but Jaa persists. Nope, Goodwin circles away and we're back to standing. Jaa misses with a takedown attempt - Goodwin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Hubert Goodwin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Jaa. Jaa shoots in for a double leg but Goodwin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Goodwin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jaa pinned against the cage. Jaa gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Tony Jaa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jaa dives in and grabs Goodwin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Goodwin pushes down on Jaa's head and hops out. Jaa fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Goodwin avoids it really well and circles away. Goodwin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Goodwin scores with a hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goodwin fails with the takedown. Jaa pushes Goodwin up against the cage in a clinch. Goodwin pulls guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Goodwin pushes Jaa off and scrambles back to his feet.
Jaa clinches. Goodwin lands a right hand that snaps the head of Jaa backwards. Jaa is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Goodwin throws a punch but it's blocked by Jaa.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jaa tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Goodwin manages to break the clinch.
Goodwin shoots in and drives through. Jaa sprawls well. Jaa closes the distance and clinches up with Goodwin, looking for a takedown. Jaa pushes Goodwin against the cage but Goodwin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jaa looks winded! Jaa keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Goodwin shoots for a takedown but Jaa saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Goodwin. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jaa moves away from the strike by Goodwin.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goodwin throws a combination that misses and Jaa counters with a nice body kick.

That was a close round but I would say that Hubert Goodwin will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tony Jaa wasn't active enough on the ground. Jaa looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Hubert Goodwin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Jaa. Goodwin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jaa displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Goodwin. Goodwin has his takedown stuffed and Jaa counters with a body kick.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Goodwin creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Jaa blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hubert Goodwin will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Goodwin shoots for a double leg takedown but Jaa sprawls well. He's pushed Goodwin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Goodwin rushes Jaa and presses him up against the cage. Goodwin is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Goodwin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jaa is controlling him. Jaa postures up in Goodwin's guard and throws a big left but Goodwin blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goodwin working for submissions but it's allowed Jaa to get to half guard.
Goodwin scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Jaa manages to mount him!
Jaa looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Jaa postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Goodwin looks a forlorn figure.
Goodwin tries to lock up and control but Jaa gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Goodwin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jaa on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Goodwin's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Jaa lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Goodwin squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Goodwin is looking to improve his position but Jaa isn't that keen on the idea. Jaa tries to control but Goodwin wriggling away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Tony Jaa. I think Goodwin has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
