Mercado looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Keller scores with a jab to the body.
Mercado fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Keller avoids it really well and circles away.
Mercado shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Keller as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danjie Mercado. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Keller stalks Mercado and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mercado's face. Mercado staggers backwards, shaken.
Keller is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mercado.
Keller takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Mercado slips under a jab from Keller.
Keller throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sam Keller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mercado closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Keller is trying to control Mercado's posture but Mercado avoids it.
Keller tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mercado wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Keller is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Keller has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Mercado throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Mercado has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Mercado tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mercado has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
