Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Roman Kidler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Danil Muruk! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Fedor Mirinova and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Muruk throws a body punch but Kidler moves out of range. Kidler throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A punch combination from Kidler misses. Muruk keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Kidler tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Muruk manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Nice defenses there by Kidler. Muruk throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kidler tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Muruk is in Kidler's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kidler keeping moving, preventing Muruk from controlling successfully. Kidler working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Muruk. Kidler is trying to keep Muruk in close.

That's one minute gone in the round. Muruk preventing the sweep. Muruk wants to pass the guard but Kidler is keeping the position. Kidler seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Roman Kidler has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Kidler misses with a takedown attempt and Muruk counters with a lovely shot to the body. Kidler throws out a loose jab but Muruk uses good head movement to avoid it. Muruk thows a body shot but no joy. Muruk tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kidler sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Muruk somewhat. Kidler tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Muruk looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Muruk scores with a nice head shot. Muruk looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kidler is fending him off so far but Muruk persists. Nope, Kidler circles away and we're back to standing. No luck for Kidler with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roman Kidler. That's going to take a lot out of him. Muruk gets a takedown into half guard. Muruk wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kidler keeps working. Kidler wants to improve his position but Muruk is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kidler is refusing to be controlled, as Muruk sits in half guard. Kidler is trying to get back to full guard. Muruk is thwarting Kidler's attempts to control the position. Kidler might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kidler regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Muruk. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kidler holds on and takes a little breather. Kidler is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Muruk is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kidler looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Muruk keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kidler's head. Kidler is looking for a triangle but Muruk pushes his legs off easily.
Kidler seems keen to control Muruk's posture. Kidler is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Muruk defends well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Muruk in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Danil Muruk will probably get the nod. That's time! Kidler's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Kidler will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Nice sprawl there from Kidler as Muruk shoots in. Kidler dives in and grabs Muruk's left leg, looking for a takedown. Muruk pushes down on Kidler's head and hops out. Kidler wants to clinch and Muruk counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Kidler! Muruk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kidler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kidler wants to control but Muruk postures up. Muruk scoring with punches from side control. Kidler manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kidler perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's one minute gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Roman Kidler wasn't doing enough on the ground. Muruk dives in for a single leg takedown but Kidler sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Kidler wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Muruk is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Muruk tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kidler smiles and moves away.
Roman Kidler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danil Muruk. Kidler throws a head kick but Muruk moves out of range.
Roman Kidler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kidler fails with a takedown attempt. Muruk swats away the attempt to clinch by Kidler. Kidler throws a low kick but Muruk moves out of range easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kidler drives through and clinches with Muruk against the cage.
Muruk will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kidler up against the cage. Kidler stalls. Kidler struggles to land a body shot inside as Muruk controls his hands.
Muruk gets a trip takedown into half guard. Muruk wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kidler keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Muruk thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Muruk throws a strike but Kidler avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Kidler has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Muruk can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Muruk stands up over Kidler, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Muruk must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kidler looking to control.
Kidler is looking to stand up but Muruk isn't so interested in that idea. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kidler looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's one minute gone in the round. Muruk tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kidler avoids it. Muruk looks to throw an elbow but misses. Muruk blocks an uppercut.
Muruk lands with a left to the head. Muruk tries to pull guard but Kidler won't allow it.
Muruk manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Muruk pressing his opponent against the cage. Muruk has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Kidler clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Kidler is trying to break free.
Kidler rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Kidler controlling the position for now. Muruk looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kidler with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Kidler is controlling Muruk's position as best he can from this difficult position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Muruk seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kidler does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kidler manages to get to full guard.
Danil Muruk is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Kidler striking off his back but it's not causing Muruk any problems. Kidler is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Kidler keeping moving, preventing Muruk from controlling successfully. Muruk preventing the sweep.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kidler pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Kidler enables Muruk to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kidler manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Kidler pulls Muruk in close to his closed guard and prevents Muruk from doing any damage or advancing position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Muruk wants to pass the guard but Kidler is keeping the position. Roman Kidler has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kidler keeping moving, preventing Muruk from controlling successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Danil Muruk. I've got Muruk winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
