Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brian Coffey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jerzy Jankowski! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jankowski shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Coffey is refusing to be controlled, as Jankowski sits in half guard. Coffey throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Coffey tries to roll over but Jankowski keeps him under control. Jankowski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Coffey flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Coffey tries to reverse the position but Jankowski maintains control. Jankowski can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Coffey is looking to escape. Jankowski cracks Coffey with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Jankowski kicks Coffey off and gets to his feet. Jankowski closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jankowski lands in his opponent's guard. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Coffey defends it well.

Jankowski thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Jankowski not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jankowski connects with a nice short shot to Coffey's temple. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Brian Coffey has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jerzy Jankowski is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Coffey throws a nice head kick!
And that's the end of the fight! Jerzy Jankowski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jankowski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
