Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Bohman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Domonic Parks! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Parks. No joy for Bohman on that attempt. Bohman looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Bohman closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Parks pulls guard effortlessly. Parks wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Parks wants to stand but Bohman is controlling the position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Parks is on top in guard.
Parks preventing the sweep. Parks trying to control the position from guard on top but Bohman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parks wants to stand but Bohman is controlling his posture from full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Parks seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Bohman is trying to keep Parks in close.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Parks wants to stand but Bohman has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Parks ducks right into an uppercut from Bohman. Parks looks for a takedown but Bohman sprawls well. Bohman misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parks takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Parks throws a head kick that Bohman semi-blocks.
Bohman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Parks moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Bohman fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bohman misses with an attempted mid kick.
Parks lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Parks throws a head kick but Bohman moves out of range.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Parks. Bohman gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parks is keen to just control but Bohman is a slippery customer. Bohman makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Parks wants to clinch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bohman fails with the takedown and Parks counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Parks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Bohman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bohman drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Parks gets the underhooks and prevents it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Domonic Parks will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Bohman tries to clinch but Parks moves away and Parks counters with a big head kick but Bohman shrugs it off. Parks throws a sloppy head kick and Bohman moves out of range easily. Bohman fails with the takedown and Parks decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bohman's guard. Parks decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bohman, up you get! Bohman tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Parks counters with a good, hard body kick but Bohman shrugs it off. Parks thuds his shin into the meat of Bohman's side. Bohman gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Parks holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parks has clasped his hands together around Bohman's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Parks stands up and beckons Bohman to his feet. John Bohman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Parks clinches with his opponent.
Parks gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bohman trying to control here.
Bohman is pressing down on Parks's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Bohman will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Bohman is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Parks must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bohman is pulling down on Parks's head to control his posture. Parks preventing the sweep. Parks looking to pass the guard. Parks stopping the sweep attempt from Bohman.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bohman tries to clinch but fails miserably and Parks counters with a nice double leg into guard. Bohman working a defensive guard here.

Bohman looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Parks decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Domonic Parks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Bohman ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Parks moves out of range of the body kick from Bohman.

and Parks counters with a single leg into guard. Bohman didn't expect that. Parks stands up from Bohman's guard - Parks perhaps looking for a knockout. Bohman shoots and misses and Parks counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bohman's guard now. Bohman can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Parks controls the pace. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bohman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bohman is really struggling to control Parks but he's trying to hold on to the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Parks trying to control the position from guard on top but Bohman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bohman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Parks counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Bohman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Parks tries to free his leg and advance position but Bohman is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bohman working a defensive guard here.
Parks postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bohman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bohman throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.
Parks gets to his feet - Bohman follows without any prompting.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bohman takes the fight into the clinch. Parks lands an elbow inside. Parks slows down the pace here.
Bohman tries to land a knee to the head but Parks blocks with his arms.
Bohman drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Parks gets the underhooks and prevents it.
John Bohman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Bohman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Parks has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Bohman clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Bohman just trying to survive but Parks is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
And that's the end of the fight! Domonic Parks comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Parks winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
