Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Schilk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocco Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Magnus Schilk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rocco Silva! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schilk lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Silva slips a jab and a cross from Schilk.
Schilk lands a nice leg kick that just misses Silva's sensitive parts. Schilk has Silva up against the cage in a clinch.
Schilk slowing the pace effectively. Schilk prevents a body shot from Silva. Silva drags the fight down to the ground.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Schilk avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Schilk is looking to stand up but Silva won't let him. Silva being controlled here, momentarily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Silva is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Schilk wants to get up but he can't break Silva's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

He's simply no match for Silva on the ground. Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Schilk gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Silva keeping moving, preventing Schilk from controlling successfully. Silva looking for a guillotine here but Schilk defends easily.
Silva can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Schilk controls the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Schilk is aware though and is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Schilk trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Silva is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Schilk doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Schilk manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Silva is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Schilk defends well. Schilk is taking a breather. Silva says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Schilk prevents Silva from improving his position. Silva has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Schilk is working away from the top position though. Silva moves into full guard.
Schilk is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Silva is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Schilk defends well.

Schilk wants to stand but Silva is controlling his posture from full guard. Schilk wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Silva is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Silva has his foot on Schilk's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Schilk works his way back into a safe position though. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Schilk is posturing up here but Silva has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Schilk tries to roll out but it's too tight and Schilk has to tap! Slick submission there by Silva!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Rocco Silva! Rocco Silva decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
