The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melvin shoots in and bounces Svenbjorn off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Svenbjorn is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Svenbjorn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Melvin as he jumps to the side.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Svenbjorn here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Svenbjorn seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Melvin for as long as he can get away with.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Melvin can do anything to dispel that myth.
