The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cordeiro throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cordeiro throws a right hand that Rizzo ducks under and follows up with a left that Rizzo also avoids with ease.
Rizzo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Cordeiro working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rizzo.
Rizzo trying to control but Cordeiro is working from the bottom.
Rizzo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rizzo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Cordeiro is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Rizzo is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Cordeiro can't fight it off and eventually Rizzo manages to take the fight to the floor. Cordeiro looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rizzo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Rizzo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cordeiro swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rizzo pushes down on Cordeiro's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Cordeiro is trying to stand up here but Rizzo is controlling him well.
Cordeiro is breathing heavily.
Rizzo wants to take a breather but Cordeiro is having none of it.

Cordeiro is looking to escape.
Rizzo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Rizzo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cordeiro defends it well.
Cordeiro pushes Rizzo off looking to stand but Rizzo dives back in and keeps control.
Rizzo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Rizzo uses his free foot to push down on Cordeiro's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Cordeiro.
Rizzo looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cordeiro trying desperately to get to his feet.
Rizzo throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Cordeiro has his hands clasped together but Rizzo breaks the hold and Cordeiro is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Rizzo!
