The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Claus throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Claus gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Jhonson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Jhonson prevents Claus from improving his position.

Jhonson is pressing down on Claus's thigh, looking to free his foot. Claus is holding on for now.
Jhonson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Claus with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Santa Claus overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Claus feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jhonson has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Claus, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
