Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sasuke Kojo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anton Hong!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hong looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Anton Hong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hong throws a chopping leg kick but Kojo manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Kojo looking to score a takedown here. Hong is defending well but Kojo drives through and ends up in Hong's guard.
Kojo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Kojo controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Kojo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Hong can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kojo controls the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sasuke Kojo has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Hong tries a head kick but it misses.
Hong has managed to clinch.
Kojo can't break the clinch.
Hong tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Hong goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Hong looking to throw knees to the head but Kojo is blocking nicely.
Hong escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kojo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kojo shoots in but no luck this time.
Kojo gets tackled into the cage by Hong. Hong maintains the clinch.
Hong breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hong looks to land a body kick but Kojo moved away.
Hong gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Hong stalling the fight.
Kojo manages to pull guard.
Hong has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kojo to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Hong is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kojo pulls down on the head and he's put Hong to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Sasuke Kojo!
