Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Giorgio Abbiati (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Oliver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abbiati's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Don't Speak - Eagles of Death Metal. Oliver has chosen Enter Sandman-Metallica as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

and Abbiati counters with a left to the body.
Abbiati throws a right and a left that Oliver avoids nicely.
Oliver closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Abbiati is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Oliver looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Oliver's coach down at Synergy Fight Team was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Oliver's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

We've been hearing good reports from Abbiati's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

I would just about give that final round to Ray Oliver.

After the fight, Ray Oliver was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
