Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marion May (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Wrestler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Wrestler is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marion May!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, The Wrestler!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Wrestler.
Wrestler misses with a wild combination.
Wrestler throws a poor cross that misses
and May counters with a three punch combo that has Wrestler backing up. Wrestler nods at May to acknowledge the strikes.

Wrestler drives through with a takedown into May's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
May wants to stand but Wrestler is controlling the position.
Wrestler trying to control the position from guard on top but May is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
May manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wrestler manages to get himself to full guard.
Wrestler has his hands on May's head, controlling the position.
May postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
May working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Wrestler is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wrestler is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. May doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wrestler.
Wrestler tries to stand but his hand is stuck under May.
Wrestler wants to lay and pray for a moment but May keeps working.
May could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

May tries to roll over but Wrestler keeps him under control.

Wrestler is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Wrestler sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. May defending well though.
Wrestler wants to stand up but May is controlling the position.
Wrestler stops May from getting back to his feet.
Wrestler content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
May wants to improve his position but Wrestler is controlling well.
May wants to control but Wrestler is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The Wrestler has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Wrestler tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wrestler tries to clinch up
and May connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

May moves in looking to clinch but Wrestler pushes him off.

Wrestler shoots in and gets a takedown into May's guard.
Wrestler has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of May is proving hard to escape from.
Wrestler trying to control the position from guard on top but May is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
May wants to get back to his feet but Wrestler passes into half guard.
Wrestler is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
May is trying to stand back up but Wrestler is controlling him
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The Wrestler dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Wrestler shoots in looking for a takedown but May manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wrestler's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Wrestler looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Wrestler trying to control but May is working from the bottom.
May trying to strike off his back.
The Wrestler has got the better of the ground game so far.
Wrestler postures up in May's guard and throws a big left but May blocks it.
Wrestler wants to control from the top but May keeps moving.
May pulls Wrestler in close to his closed guard and prevents Wrestler from doing any damage or advancing position.

May is working an open guard so Wrestler takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
May avoids the head kick by Wrestler.
May shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Wrestler eats them both and turns towards May to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Wrestler has taken the fight to the clinch.
Wrestler displaying some good clinch control by pressing May up against the cage.
Wrestler is trying to break the clinch but May has him pressed against the cage.
May tries to break the clinch but Wrestler is controlling the position.

Wrestler breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wrestler throws a head kick but May moves out of range.
May fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

May closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
May manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Wrestler missing with knees to the body.

May pulls guard.
Wrestler postures up.
Wrestler trying to control the position from guard on top but May is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
May is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Wrestler wants to get back to full guard but May has passed into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
May working away.
Wrestler defending against the ground and pound.
The strikes coming from May are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wrestler can do anything to dispel that myth.
Wrestler manages to work his way to half guard, despite May's best efforts.
May tries to stand and escape but Wrestler is controlling the position.
Wrestler is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Wrestler keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Wrestler regains full guard. Nicely done.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Wrestler looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Wrestler is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst May is controlling him.
Wrestler is breathing heavily.
May with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Wrestler looking for submissions from the bottom but instead May passes into side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
May scores with a couple of short elbows.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The Wrestler showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



May has managed to clinch.
Wrestler creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through May's defenses.


It looks like Marion May has been cut.
May is leaning against Wrestler and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Wrestler jumps guard but May turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Wrestler manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
May missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
May is in close to Wrestler's body, working some short punches and elbows.
May throws a big elbow that misses.
Wrestler is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

May gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
May tries to clinch but Wrestler is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wrestler misses with a looping left.
Wrestler connects with a high kick.
Wrestler lands a head kick!


May is rocked!
Wrestler throws a hook but May blocks it.
Oh May is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Marion May is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
May blocks a head kick by Wrestler.
Wrestler takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Wrestler throws a quick head kick that knocks May silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Wrestler is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). The Wrestler!
