Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lonnie Mcneil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikey Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mikey Peterson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lonnie Mcneil! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mikey Peterson! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Glass and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcneil doesn't succeed with the takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Peterson throws a body punch but Mcneil moves out of range. Mcneil slips a jab and a cross from Peterson.
Mcneil avoids the head kick by Peterson.
Mcneil fails to land the takedown. Peterson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Mcneil shoots in but Peterson avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lonnie Mcneil. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mcneil dives in for a single leg takedown but Peterson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Mcneil jumps guard but Peterson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Mcneil jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Peterson walks away with a smile on his face. Mcneil gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Peterson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mcneil to the ground. Peterson is now in Mcneil's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcneil keeping moving, preventing Peterson from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Peterson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Peterson trying to control but Mcneil is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Mikey Peterson was stalling too much, according to the referee. Mcneil shoots in but Peterson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peterson shoots in and gets a takedown into Mcneil's guard. Peterson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Mcneil pulls Peterson in close to prevent any damage. Mcneil is trying to keep Peterson in close.
Peterson tries to free his leg and advance position but Mcneil is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peterson trying to control the position from guard on top but Mcneil is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Lonnie Mcneil wasn't doing enough on the ground. Mcneil shoots for a double leg takedown but Peterson sprawls well. He's pushed Mcneil's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Peterson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Peterson tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Peterson looking for a submission but Mcneil manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Peterson is looking to stand up but Mcneil won't let him. Peterson wants to control from the top but Mcneil keeps moving. Mcneil is trying to keep Peterson in close.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Mcneil has his feet on Peterson's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Peterson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mcneil swivels and escapes. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Peterson. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mcneil is trying hard to land a takedown here. Peterson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Mcneil manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Peterson on his heels. He'll look to pass Peterson's guard now, I'm sure. Peterson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mcneil is aware though and is defending well. Peterson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mcneil. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Peterson is controlling Mcneil's posture. Mcneil not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Mcneil's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Peterson tries to land a sweep but no joy. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Peterson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Peterson tries to clinch but Mcneil moves out of range. Lonnie Mcneil is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Peterson wants to clinch up but Mcneil keeps it at a distance. Nice takedown defense from Mcneil. No joy for Peterson on that attempt. Peterson tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Mcneil counters with a head kick. That will keep Peterson thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Peterson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Peterson darts in looking for a takedown but Mcneil gets double underhooks and turns Peterson into the cage. Mcneil is trying to pull guard but Peterson has him pressed against the cage. Mcneil tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mcneil is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Peterson tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Peterson stands up and we're back to a striking position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Mikey Peterson will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Peterson trying to advance position but Mcneil counters by regaining guard. Peterson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Mcneil throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Peterson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Peterson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mcneil paws at him with a jab and circles away. Lonnie Mcneil has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mikey Peterson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Peterson tries for a takedown but Mcneil sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Mikey Peterson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Peterson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
