The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zelaya throws a jab when Cachacinha was well out of range.
Cachacinha bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cachacinha swings around for an armbar but Zelaya sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Cachacinha's guard.
Zelaya throws an elbow that misses. Cachacinha uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Zelaya's guard. Nice move by Cachacinha!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Zelaya scores with a one two! Cachacinha had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Zelaya pivots, looking for a leg kick but Cachacinha is out of range and Zelaya settles back down.

Zelaya fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cachacinha.
Cachacinha walks into a jab.
Zelaya clobbers Cachacinha with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Cachacinha takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Cachacinha has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Walter Alexander Zelaya is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Zelaya lands a nice shot to the body.
Zelaya fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Cachacinha checks it well.
Cachacinha avoids the head kick by Zelaya.
Cachacinha ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Walter Alexander Zelaya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cachacinha looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Zelaya!
Zelaya is not content to let Cachacinha control the position.

A punch lands to the side of Cachacinha 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Cachacinha throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Zelaya tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cachacinha is in Zelaya's guard.
Zelaya controls Cachacinha momentarily but Cachacinha frees himself.
Zelaya wants to sweep here but Cachacinha controlling him for the moment.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Zelaya is staying active underneath Cachacinha, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That was a close round but I would say that Walter Alexander Zelaya will probably get the nod.
That's time! Zelaya's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Zelaya throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Zelaya cracks Cachacinha with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Cachacinha is looking to clinch.
Zelaya misses with a hook. Cachacinha ducked under it nicely.
Zelaya stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zelaya wants it to stay on the feet.

Zelaya swings for the body but Cachacinha moves out of range.
Cachacinha looks to clinch
and Zelaya counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Zelaya lands with a straight right. Cachacinha didn't see that one coming.
Zelaya lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nice takedown defense from Zelaya. No joy for Cachacinha on that attempt.
Zelaya throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
It looks like Zelaya has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Good work by Cachacinha as he checks the leg kick.

Zelaya thuds his right hand into Cachacinha's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Zelaya swats away the attempt to clinch by Cachacinha.
Zelaya moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Cachacinha closes the distance and clinches up with Zelaya, looking for a takedown. Cachacinha pushes Zelaya against the cage but Zelaya circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Walter Alexander Zelaya has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorge Cachacinha.
Zelaya lands a nice shot that snaps Cachacinha's head back.

Zelaya dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Cachacinha. That did some damage!

Zelaya throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Cachacinha on the side of the head.
Zelaya lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Zelaya feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Cachacinha's calf.
Zelaya throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

A decent looking cross lands there for Zelaya.

Cachacinha shoots in for a takedown but Zelaya shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Zelaya fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cachacinha manages to avoid it.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Zelaya throws a sloppy head kick and Cachacinha moves out of range easily.
Zelaya jabs Cachacinha to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Cachacinha sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Zelaya displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cachacinha.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Zelaya throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Zelaya lands a left and a right that send Cachacinha crashing to the mat, dazed. Zelaya thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Zelaya cracks Cachacinha with a hook to the temple - Cachacinha is on wobbly legs here! Zelaya swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Cachacinha falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Zelaya wins by TKO!
