Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Purple Haze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Ben Faur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Faur has chosen remember the name as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Purple Haze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jean Ben Faur!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haze tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ben Faur swivels and escapes.
Haze shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ben Faur counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Ben Faur content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Ben Faur is pressing down on Haze's thigh, looking to free his foot. Haze is holding on for now.
Haze works his way to full guard. Good work.
Haze is trying to control the position but Ben Faur postures up.
Haze is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Haze trying to keep a closed guard but Ben Faur is proving a slippery customer.
Haze working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ben Faur doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ben Faur manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Haze looking to control.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Haze manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Ben Faur is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Haze to keep the fight standing.
Ben Faur is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Haze pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Haze ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Haze no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Haze wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Ben Faur engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Haze manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Ben Faur is trying to escape the mount.
Haze jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ben Faur manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Haze is looking to take a break and control but Ben Faur is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Haze has an Americana. Ben Faur didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Haze is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Haze hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Purple Haze!
