The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hardy. That did some damage!
Rivera scores with a nice head shot.
Hardy drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Hardy tries for a kimura but Rivera is defending well.
Rivera is not content to let Hardy control the position.
Hardy working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Hardy is working to tighten his grip on Rivera's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Rivera has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hardy is really squeezing tight and eventually Rivera passes out! Hardy breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
