Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Calvin Fawkes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has chosen Chamillionaire - Ridin' ft. Krayzie Bone as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva moves into the clinch successfully.
Silva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fawkes keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Silva is defended easily by Fawkes.
Silva stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Silva wants it to stay on the feet.
Fawkes avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Silva shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Fawkes tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Silva smiles and moves away.
Fawkes misses with a series of wild punches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Silva fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fawkes sprawls well initially but Silva persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Silva is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Fawkes has managed to free his arm - good work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Fawkes wants to control but Silva is having none of it.

Silva cracks Fawkes with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Silva takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Fawkes lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Silva is struggling to control the position.
Silva turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Silva manages to end up in side control.

We've been hearing good reports from Fawkes's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
