Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Greer Leonardson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Garry Powders!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Leonardson. Those never looked like landing.
Leonardson scores with a jab to the head.


It looks like Garry Powders has been cut.
Leonardson throws a big shot that misses.

Powders shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Leonardson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Leonardson tries to kick Powders off but Powders keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Powders seems to be looking for submissions.

Powders is looking for a kimura but Leonardson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Powders to get the leverage.
Leonardson pushes Powders off looking to stand but Powders dives back in and keeps control.
Powders has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Soul Supremacy - UK. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Powders has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Powders uses his free foot to push down on Leonardson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Leonardson.
Leonardson is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Leonardson's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Leonardson defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Powders.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Powders is looking to work his way around to Leonardson's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

Leonardson wants to try and get back to his feet.
Leonardson trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Powders pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Leonardson is rocked!

Powders is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Leonardson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Leonardson shrugs it off.
Oh Leonardson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Leonardson really wants to buck Powders off and get back to his feet.
Powders misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Leonardson seems to have got his legs back now.
Leonardson is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Leonardson is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Powders locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Leonardson is forced to tap!

An out of breath Garry Powders thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
