The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Illya Tyunina and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Spirit. That's going to slow Lombard down.
Lombard shoots for a double leg takedown but Spirit sprawls well. He's pushed Lombard's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lombard moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Lombard closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Spirit did well to prevent Lombard getting side control.
Lombard seems to be working for a kimura but Spirit defends the submission attempt.
Spirit is trying to maintain the position but Lombard is very close to passing his half guard.
Lombard is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Spirit has managed to free his arm - good work.
Lombard is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Spirit is just riding it out for now. Lombard eventually gives up the hold.

Lombard has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Spirit defend it? Lombard steps over the head and cranks it - Spirit is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Lombard!
