Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm Blackwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Colenenen Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Malcolm Blackwell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Colenenen Jr! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Reed Andrews and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blackwell throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Colenenen Jr was covering up waiting for the punch and Blackwell finishes the takedown easily into guard. Colenenen Jr wants to control the position but Blackwell says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Blackwell is figuring out what he wants to do next. Colenenen Jr tries to roll over but Blackwell keeps him under control. Blackwell seems to be working for a kimura but Colenenen Jr defends the submission attempt. Colenenen Jr is trying to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Colenenen Jr trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Blackwell manages to pass to mount!
Blackwell trying to control but Colenenen Jr is having none of it. Blackwell avoids the attempt from Colenenen Jr to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blackwell raining down shots from the mount! Blackwell lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Colenenen Jr wants to control but Blackwell is having none of it. Blackwell pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blackwell looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Colenenen Jr is trying desperately to improve position. Colenenen Jr tries to hold on but Blackwell pushes him away. Colenenen Jr is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Blackwell can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Colenenen Jr is looking to escape. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Colenenen Jr changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Blackwell looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Colenenen Jr is looking to take a break and control but Blackwell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Blackwell avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Colenenen Jr. Blackwell is trying to control Colenenen Jr's posture but Colenenen Jr avoids it. Colenenen Jr decides to take the fight back to the feet. Colenenen Jr has managed to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Colenenen Jr has picked Blackwell up - he's going for a ride! Colenenen Jr dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Blackwell manages to get to full guard.
Colenenen Jr wants to control from the top but Blackwell keeps moving. Blackwell has his foot on Colenenen Jr's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Colenenen Jr works his way back into a safe position though. Colenenen Jr trying to stand up but can't free himself from Blackwell's guard. Blackwell wants to sweep but no luck. Blackwell working a defensive guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Colenenen Jr throws an elbow that misses. Blackwell uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Colenenen Jr's guard. Nice move by Blackwell! Blackwell working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Colenenen Jr's head. Blackwell throwing strikes from guard but Colenenen Jr blocks nicely. Colenenen Jr controls Blackwell momentarily but Blackwell frees himself. Colenenen Jr can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Blackwell controls the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Colenenen Jr isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Blackwell stacks Colenenen Jr on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Blackwell! Colenenen Jr is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Colenenen Jr is trying to control Blackwell's posture but Blackwell avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Colenenen Jr trying his best to control but Blackwell has mounted him. Blackwell avoids the attempt from Colenenen Jr to control. Colenenen Jr throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Blackwell with shots to the head and body - Colenenen Jr looks very uncomfortable down there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Jim Colenenen Jr will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Blackwell tries to keep at a distance but Colenenen Jr has taken the fight into the clinch. Blackwell fails to pull guard.
Colenenen Jr tries a body shot but Blackwell blocks it.
Blackwell throws a head punch that misses. Blackwell jumps guard but Colenenen Jr turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Colenenen Jr has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Blackwell regains guard immediately. Colenenen Jr preventing the sweep. Colenenen Jr slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Blackwell keeping moving, preventing Colenenen Jr from controlling successfully. Blackwell looking to hit a scissor sweep but Colenenen Jr is one step ahead there. Malcolm Blackwell overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blackwell had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Colenenen Jr defends it easily. Colenenen Jr is pushing down on Blackwell's leg trying to pass to half guard. Blackwell is fighting to maintain full guard but Colenenen Jr has managed to sneak the leg through. Blackwell looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Blackwell wants to improve his position but Colenenen Jr is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Colenenen Jr trying to mount his opponent but Blackwell defends it. Colenenen Jr throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Blackwell regains full guard. Nicely done. Blackwell has a closed guard, preventing Colenenen Jr from standing up. Blackwell tries to land a sweep but no joy. Colenenen Jr trying to control but Blackwell is working from the bottom. Colenenen Jr wants to get up but he can't break Blackwell's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Colenenen Jr won't allow Blackwell to sweep him here. Colenenen Jr wants to stand but Blackwell has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Colenenen Jr postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Blackwell is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Colenenen Jr, into his guard. Colenenen Jr takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Blackwell's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jim Colenenen Jr was stalling too much, according to the referee. A momentary lapse in concentration from Blackwell enables Colenenen Jr to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Blackwell manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Blackwell is looking for a triangle but Colenenen Jr pushes his legs off easily.
Blackwell looking for a sweep. Not yet Blackwell, not yet. Colenenen Jr looking to pass the guard. Blackwell has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Colenenen Jr can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Colenenen Jr trying to control but Blackwell is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Jim Colenenen Jr comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Colenenen Jr has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
